A recent episode of a cable show is a veritable love letter to San Antonio.

It's an episode of "Whose Wedding is it Anyway?" on the Style Network, and half of the show focused on a local couple trying to blend Vietnamese and Mexican elements into their reception. The other half focused on some couple in Orlando that we didn't care about.

In San Antonio, Magui Abeyta and Charles Dunn held their wedding at Mission San José, with a rehearsal dinner at La Fogata and the reception at the AT&T Community Centre at San Fernando.

Wedding planner Tracy French of the French Connection helped them put it all together. And when it came to making the large space intimate for the couple's reception, that took some inspiration from event designer Martin Alvarez.

What's really special about the episode was just how romantic the producers portrayed this city.

Look, few people are going to say that the Torch of Friendship, the River Walk, Hotel Valencia, San Fernando Cathedral and the Alamo are any rivals for the Champs Elysees or the Eiffel Tower for romantic landmarks, but major kudos to the producers for conveying at least some of this town's charm.

This episode already has aired a few times over the weekend. It airs again at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. today.
